Byron Society of America and the Jane Austen Society of North America and their guests To a Pre-Release Screening of The Duchess A Chronicle of the Life of Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire Starring Keira Knightley, Ralph Fiennes, Charlotte Rampling, Hayley Atwell and Dominic Cooper Directed By Saul Dibb Screenplay by Jeffery Hatcher and Anders Thomas Jensen and Saul Dibb. Based on the book Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire by Amanda Foreman Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. Kerasotes Webster Place Theatre 1471 W. Webster Avenue Chicago A brief lecture and discussion will follow the screening. Jonathan Gross, Director of the DePaul Humanities and editor of two novels attributed to Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, Emma, or the Unfortunate Attachment and The Sylph, will give a talk Entitled "What Would Jane Austen and Lord Byron Say?: Responses to "The Duchess" A Film."
