Catalogue of the Collection
We invite you to this first incarnation of the catalogue of this living Byron Society Collection. We soon hope to have the entire database of the Byron Society Collection presented as an OPAC that will be searchable by various keywords. And we plan to digitize some of the images and audios and texts. In the meantime, we will continue to catalogue the various donations to the collection, and we here offer bibliographical entries for nearly 4,000 items as catalogued prior to 1 October 2004.

To aid you in your research, we present below these entries in different categories (e.g., books, busts and statuary, conference materials, edited books, exhibition catalogues, journals, journal articles, manuscripts), most arranged in alphabetical order by author or by artist (or by title, if no author or editor or artist name is used). We also note two important collecting principles for the printed items in the Collection.

For the images and material objects in the Collection, we are currently developing and refining the collecting and cataloguing principles. More information will follow shortly.

The Byron Society Collection is indebted to the efforts of Cheryl A. Wilson and Mike Edson (University of Delaware graduate students in English), both of whom worked many hours on this database.

All bibliographical entries have been proofed (and checked against the physical item) a number of times, but if you find corrections or additions that need to be made to any entry, please contact Charles E. Robinson. Each entry was initially entered into an EndNote database that has since been divided into the different categories below to organize all of the donated materials. You may find, temporarily, formatting anomalies for the output of some entries in these categories.

If you find the collection lacks some of your own published books and articles--or other material objects that you deem essential for understanding Byron and his cultural influence--please consider donating such items so that we can provide researchers a comprehensive collection of Byron materials.
