Because the Byron Society Collection is organic in nature, it will continue to redefine itself as it embraces the ideas and experiences of the many and varied collectors who become its benefactors. The collection welcomes visitors and researchers to a wealth of untapped material and hopes to develop programs that will interest both graduate and undergraduate students by providing both an intellectual and a practical experience with the material objects in the collection—and by encouraging students in the development of their own collections.
From its beginnings, the Byron collection has benefited in countless ways from the generosity of Byron Society members and non-members alike. In the months and years ahead, the collection looks forward to receiving additional donations and bequests to expand its holdings, strengthen its operation, and make readily available its wealth of carfully and lovingly collected resources.
