Internships
The Byron Society Collection sponsored two Museum Studies interns at the University of Delaware who assisted with the development and cataloguing of the growing collection. The students worked approximately 150 hours and experienced the unique opportunity of working at a collection in the early stages of its development.

Recent Interns
Brooke Benson (Spring 2004)
Brooke interned when she was a senior at the University of Delaware, with a major in Art Conservation (with a concentration in collection’s care) and a minor is Art History. During her internship, she focused on the housing and documentation of photographs in the Byron Society Collection. Brooke plans to live in Philadelphia and work in the field of conservation.

Megan Companion (Spring 2004)
Megan Companion interned when she was a sophomore at the University of Delaware, with a major in Art Conservation (with a concentration in collection’s care). She has an avid obsession with the painter Maxfield Parrish. During her internship, she catalogued and arranged the engravings in the Byron Society Collection. In the future, Megan hopes to take a Master’s Degree and work for a museum with a significant conservation program.
